Car Crash on Thanksgiving

West End Fire and Rescue responded to a Motor Vehicle Accident on Hwy 73 on Thanksgiving.
A Honda CRV was traveling east on N.C. 73 when it lost control, crashed through a fence and ended up on its side against a tree approximately 40-60 feet off the road.
During the crash, a piece of the wood fence smashed through the windshield, barely missing the driver.

Bald Eagle Rescue from Lake Auman

West End Fire and Rescue was contacted by Seven Lakes West residents Marge and Tom Holleman who were kayaking that morning. The female Eagle was waterlogged and exhausted in the area of Pine Island on Lake Auman.

Driver of scooter sent to hospital after accident

Shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday, an accident occurred between a scooter and a pickup truck. The accident happened just before the intersection of 211 east and Hoffman Road outside of West End.
The scooter and the truck were both on 211 heading east when the collision happened. The first emergency units to arrive on scene stated the patient was lying in a ditch.

Two-alarm fire claims a life in Foxfire

A house fire claimed the life of a man Sunday evening.
Firefighters were paged around 11:36 PM to the home on Deer Track Road in Foxfire with possible life hazard.
First arriving units on scene reported a single story structure fully engulfed in flames with 90% of the roof collapsed. The glow from the fire could be seen from a distance indicating a very heavy fire load or that the structure was ... (Full Story & Photos)

Single-vehicle accident leaves one seriously injured

A man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle accident outside of Foxfire Friday. The accident occurred on Rose Ridge Road, near Hoffman Road, around 7:30 p.m.
Initially, the man was reported to be unresponsive with a head injury. A helicopter was called but was unable to fly due to weather conditions.

Crash sends two paramedics to hospital

A two-vehicle crash sent two paramedics to the hospital, and one person was airlifted to an area trauma center Thursday morning.
The collision involved a pickup truck and a Moore County EMS unit at the intersection of Carthage Road and Beulah Hill Church Road about 5 miles outside of Seven Lakes.

Emergency crews rescue man stuck in tree

Around 3 p.m. Saturday, firefighters and paramedics were called to Forest Drive, in Aberdeen, for a high angle rescue. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a man stuck approximately 60 feet in a tree.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene to rescue the homeowner who was attempting to cut the tree down in the Sherwood Park subdivision.

Medical Emergency caused 4th of July Motor Vehicle Accident

West End Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a 10-50 at the intersection of Hwy 211 and Hwy 73.
First responding units upgraded the response when they discovered the the vehicle was elevated on the guide wires of a power pole.
