Structure Fire in Carthage

Assistant Chief Michael Gunther, November 21

West End Fire Department responded to a Structure Fire in Carthage early Thursday morning with Tanker 616 and 655. The structure was fully involved and required a lot of water to extinguish. Field of Honor

The West End Fire and Rescue hosted the Moore County Vietnam Veterans Chapter 966 Field of Honor for the second year in a row from November 3rd to the 16th. In 2015 there were 100 flags and today there are more than 400 flags flying proudly.

West End Fire and Rescue assists Eagle Springs Fire and Rescue with working Structure fire on Saw Grass Road

On the evening of October 27th West End Fire and Rescue responded to assist Eagle Springs Fire Department with a working Structure Fire on Saw Grass Road. Engine 611, Tanker 616, Tanker 655 and Brush 618 responded Engine 611 arriving as the first arriving Engine. Units arrived on scene to find a well involved single wide trailer.

Two escaped serious injury in rollover on Foxfire Road

Two people escaped serious injury Thursday morning when their Honda CRV crashed on Foxfire Road, near Foxfire Village.

The accident occurred in the 600 block of Foxfire Road when the Honda ran off the side of the road and flipped over.

Both occupants were outside the vehicle and walking around when first responders arrived on the scene.

One lane of traffic was shut down while emergency crews worked.
