**EVENING UPDATE** West End Fire and Rescue members have responded to a few calls this evening

Road conditions remain hazardous throughout our service area and beyond. Much of the road coverage in the more southern portions of our area have turned to slush atop thin ice. These conditions are very slick. The more north and west portions of our area remain with compact ice mixture on the roadways.

While NCDOT has been steady at work throughout the day many secondary and some primary roads are still dangerous. Please refrain from unessential travel through tomorrow. **UPDATE FOR FOXFIRE VILLAGE** In coordination with Foxfire Police Department, WEFR members have placed barricades and preemptively closed Tie Road between Hoffman and Foxfire Roads
