Human remains were found on Murdocksville Road near Eastwood community Sunday morning. The remains were located off the shoulder of the road near a bridge, just north of River Woods Road.

Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields said the remains are unidentifiable as of now. The side of the road was taped off as crime scene investigators worked the area.

Sheriff Ronnie Fields was on the scene as well as Chief Deputy Richard Maness.

Investigators closed Murdocksville Road between N.C. 73 and Doubs Chapel Road.
