In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month the members of West End Fire and Rescue wanted to do something special to honor those impacted by ALL cancers. Over this past weekend our creative hydrant painting team has been busy and when staff and students arrived at school Monday morning they arrived to find a freshly painted Fire Hydrant on the West End Elementary, West Pine Elementary and West Pine Middle School campuses. One hydrant on each campus has been painted Pink with White caps and bonnet

The hope is that that the painting of the Fire Hydrant helps bring positive comments / discussions and appreciation for those impacted by ALL cancers. In addition the Minion painted Hydrants at West End Elementary and West Pine Elementary Schools received fresh coats of paint to freshen them up just a bit as they had begun to fade a bit.

We wanted to find a way to thanks our schools for all that they do for our children and to hope bring continue awareness to Breast Cancer during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
