Structure Fire in Seven Lakes West

West End Fire and Rescue was dispatched as automatic aid to assist Seven Lakes Fire Department to a Structure Fire at 139 Longleaf Dr in Seven Lakes West. First arriving Seven Lakes units reported that the structure was fully involved with flames showing from the rear of the house. West End Fire and Rescue assumed command and requested additional stations to respond due to the proximity of the neighboring homes to protect them in the event the fire started to spread.

The initial dispatch occurred at 9:21 pm with the first arriving units on scene 6 minutes later. The fire was extinguished at 11:33 pm and the structure was released to the homeowner one hour later.

The structure was deemed not safe for the family to occupy so the Red Cross was contacted to assist the family.
