A house in Pinebluff was destroyed by a fire Tuesday morning.

The blaze was reported about 7:15 a.m. in the 100 block of Forest Place, near the intersection of Sherwood and Forest drives. The residents were able to escape the building without injury, according to the Pinebluff Fire and Rescue Department.

Flames devoured the single-family home, which a Pinebluff firefighter described as a “total loss.”

It is unclear what sparked the fire. As of 11 a.m., investigators with the Moore County Fire Marshal’s Office were still working to determine the cause of the incident.
