Teen Airlifted After Seven Lakes Accident Saturday |

West End Fire and Rescue assisted Seven Lakes Fire Department with setting up the Landing Zone for the Helicopter to transport the patient to a Trauma Center. One person was airlifted and a second transported to the hospital by ambulance after a single vehicle accident outside of Seven Lakes Saturday afternoon. Emergency responders were dispatched at 12:40 pm to Carthage Road near the intersection of Dowd Road for a vehicle accident after a passenger car ran off of the road striking a group of trees before coming to a stop on the opposite side of the roadway. After arriving on the scene EMS workers called for a helicopter to be dispatched to assist with this incident. The teenage driver of the vehicle was transported from the wreck scene by ambulance to a landing zone that had been setup in front of the Seven Lakes Fire Department to meet a helicopter from UNC to be airlifted to a Trauma Center. A second person in the Honda Accord passenger car was transported by ambulance to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst with injuries reported as not life threatening. |
