Teen Airlifted After Seven Lakes Accident Saturday

West End Fire and Rescue assisted Seven Lakes Fire Department with setting up the Landing Zone for the Helicopter to transport the patient to a Trauma Center.

One person was airlifted and a second transported to the hospital by ambulance after a single vehicle accident outside of Seven Lakes Saturday afternoon.

Emergency responders were dispatched at 12:40 pm to Carthage Road near the intersection of Dowd Road for a vehicle accident after a passenger car ran off of the road striking a group of trees before coming to a stop on the opposite side of the roadway.

After arriving on the scene EMS workers called for a helicopter to be dispatched to assist with this incident.

The teenage driver of the vehicle was transported from the wreck scene by ambulance to a landing zone that had been setup in front of the Seven Lakes Fire Department to meet a helicopter from UNC to be airlifted to a Trauma Center.

A second person in the Honda Accord passenger car was transported by ambulance to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst with injuries reported as not life threatening.

 
Units: Responding to the accident were units with Seven Lakes Fire & Rescue, West End Fire & Rescue, Moore County EMS, and the NC State Highway Patrol.
