West End Fire and Rescue responded to a possible structure fire located in Seven Lakes North. The first arriving units on scene identified a single story structure with lights smoke exiting the front door. It was quickly determined that this was a small electrical fire originating from the water heater.

The real reason for this report is to acknowledge the response from all surrounding fire department on a moments notice. Within minutes of the initial dispatch there were fire apparatus from Seven Lakes, West End, Eagle Springs and Eastwood on scene ready to assist by any means necessary. There were more apparatus and personnel in route to the scene when incident command made the decision to cancel all incoming mutual aid departments.

The fire service is a huge family that not only is within Moore County but the entire state and Country. Just like any family sometimes we do not see eye to eye but when a call goes out it is very comforting to know that this family will come together with no questions asked any time day or night. Thank you.
