Two escaped serious injury in rollover on Foxfire Road

Two people escaped serious injury Thursday morning when their Honda CRV crashed on Foxfire Road, near Foxfire Village.

The accident occurred in the 600 block of Foxfire Road when the Honda ran off the side of the road and flipped over.

Both occupants were outside the vehicle and walking around when first responders arrived on the scene.

One lane of traffic was shut down while emergency crews worked.

No Caption Firefighters battle barn blaze in West End

West End Fire Department assisted neighboring departments with a report of an outside structure fire. A barn was destroyed in a fire Saturday afternoon in West End. The barn was completely engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived on the scene on Malcolm Drive.

Mobile Home Fire in Pinebluff

A home caught on fire in Pinebluff after a resident reportedly left an outside small fire unattended. The fire occurred Sunday afternoon on Jeans Loop Road.

The first fire crews on the scene reported smoke and flames coming from underneath the mobile home. Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly, but the home had suffered significant damage.

Structure Fire on Maxie Lane in Aberdeen

A family is safe after their house caught on fire Thursday outside of Aberdeen. Sadly, their two small dogs perished in the fire.

The home was located on Maxie Lane, just off of Rose Ridge Road. Neighbors first noticed the fire and called 911.

When the first fire crews arrived on the scene, the home was consumed with heavy flames and smoke. No one was at the home when the blaze ignited.

West End Fire and Rescue sponsored a training burn on 31 March 2019 located near Carolina Carriage on Hwy 211. The house that we used for the training was donated to us so we could train to quickly and safely extinguish a house fire under controlled supervised scenarios.
