West End Fire and Rescue was dispatched as automatic aid to assist Seven Lakes Fire Department to a Structure Fire at 139 Longleaf Dr in Seven Lakes West. First arriving Seven Lakes units reported that the structure was fully involved with flames showing from the rear of the house. Fire Destroys Classroom At West Pine Middle School Saturday

An early morning structure fire was reported Saturday at West Pine Middle School in West End.

Emergency responders were dispatched just after 8 :00 AM to the school on Archie Road off of NC Highway 211 with flames and smoke reportedly showing from the roof of a doublewide mobile classroom.

West End Fire Department sponsored a Live Burn Training and opened it up to all neighboring Departments. The structure was found to be unsafe for an interior attack so this training would focus on an exterior attack only. Electrical Fire - FoxKroft

Station 61 responded to a Structure Fire in FoxKroft. When units arrived on scene they found an electrical panel just outside of one of the units that was on fire. Firefighters were able to control the spread of the fire until the power to the electrical panel was disconnected. Once the power was disconnected they were able to completely extinguish the fire. The driver of a passenger car escaped serious injury

The driver of a passenger car escaped serious injury after a collision with a commercial truck between West End and Pinehurst Thursday morning during a downpour of windswept rain.

Emergency units were dispatched at 10:30 am to a reported vehicle accident with a passenger car overturned on NC Highway 211.
